1,000 Months
Message/Experiment of the Week:
Did you know that the average person lives roughly 1,000 months? So, what are you going to do with your remaining months? Are you going to do what you love, or are you going to do what seems easy and safe? Is there a way to prudently do what you love? In the video below the speaker talks about helping an old man who fell while he was walking through town with a walker, and when he told the old man that he should probably stay inside the man replied that he loves walking and that living means doing what you love. So, he is not going to stop walking. 🙂
Also, did you know that the most successful people are the ones who receive the most rejection and feedback? Most people aren’t willing to face rejection and feedback, and that is why you have business owners who are willing to risk rejection and failure to start their businesses and then the people who work for them that they buffer discomfort.
For an experiment this week do at least one thing you love and figure out a way to do more of it. Also, for extra credit… instead of trying to avoid rejection and feedback, embrace it and use it to grow.
Quotes of the Week:
"It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.” ―Marcus Aurelius
“If someone is able to show me that what I think or do is not right, I will happily change, for I seek truth, by which no one was ever truly harmed. It is the person who continues in his self-deception and ignorance who is harmed.” ―Marcus Aurelius
