Miserable or Happy

Message/Experiment of the Week:

Are you miserable or happy? If you want to be miserable there is a simple formula that is guaranteed to work. All you need to do is focus on what you don’t want, don’t have and don’t like. The converse is also true. If you want to be happy, simply focus on what you do want (vision board), what you do have (gratitude), and what you do like. These simple formulas explain why some lives are sad and miserable, and some lives are happy and amazing beyond measure.

For an experiment this week focus on what you do want, what you do have/gratitude, and what you do like. If you catch yourself getting negative, redirect. Then write about the experience in your journal.

P.S. Special thanks to Sean Stephenson for introducing this concept!

Quotes of the Week:

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” -Oprah

“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.” -Epicurus

Question of the Week:

Why am I always accomplishing amazing things by focusing on what I want, have and like?
